OUR NARRATIVE

A medallion of a young man drinking from a kantharos; a Greek drinking cup. This fine depiction was actually hacked off the walls of the Villa Arianna in 1975 by thieves and disappeared into a private collection for many years.

Recovered alongside several other pieces from the area very recently, it now lives at the Museo Archeologico di Stabia Libero D’Orsi. A copy of the same has been restored to the original wall of the villa.
