What is / who are The History Picture Store?
We are passionate travellers and history buffs, and our picture store is a stock photography platform offering our own high-quality, royalty-free images for personal and commercial use.
The HistoryPictureStore.com is a trading style of YourHistoryGuide Ltd; a registered company in the United Kingdom (GB15037346)
Who can use the images?
Anyone! Whether you're a business, blogger, designer, marketer, student, or enthusiast; our images are available for everyone.
How are images delivered?
All images are delivered electronically. You will have an opportunity to download your photograph(s) from the Thank You page after you have paid, and we also send an email to you with links to your photograph(s). There is no physical shipment.
Note : If you didn’t receive an email from us, it is worth checking your Spam or Junk folder.
Why do you limit the number of downloads per picture?
We limit the number of downloads per picture to 2. This is an anti theft / fraud measure. If you are a genuine customer, can prove purchase, and have lost your picture, please contact us and we can make special arrangements for you.
Can I use the narrative on the product page?
Yes .. please do. We write the narratives to give some context and enlighten the images shown. If you want to use all our part of the narratives, we are both flattered and happy for you to do so.

Are the images really royalty-free?
Yes. All images on HistoryPictureStore.com are royalty-free, meaning you pay once and can use the image multiple times without recurring fees.
What licenses do you offer?
Just a Standard License at present: Ideal for most uses, including websites, presentations, ads, gifts, and social media.
Can I use the photos for commercial projects?
Yes; as long as you comply with the license terms. For merchandise or resale items (e.g., T-shirts, posters), additional permission is required.
Do I need to credit the HistoryPictureStore.com?
Attribution is not required, but it’s always appreciated. If you want to credit, use:

Account & Payments
Do I need an account to download images?
You can browse freely, but you'll need a free account to download or license any image.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit cards, ApplePay, GooglePay and other secure payment gateways, depending on your region.
